August 1, 2020
The year of the nurse, 2020, has brought us a lot of challenges and “covid” uncertainties. We, however, as an organization must move forward to overcome these challenges by being resilient, adaptive to changes, recognizant of new knowledge and skills and compliant with updated standards of care and safe practices for a quality care to our patients. We will continue to support our frontline nurses and their families emotionally, spiritually, psychologically and through our “care packages”. To be strong as an organization, we need to be visionaries and implement strategies to protect our interests to be financially strong and transparent. We need to mentor our able and willing leaders in finding ways of encouraging our members to engage in our many activities of wisdom, networking, and service to our community. We all care to heal our nurses during this pandemic, but we must continue to inspire them through the spirit of professionalism and commitment. Therefore, let’s ACT, and let us ACT now… through our values of:
