It is a professional organization that will uphold the positive image and foster the welfare of Philippine descent nurses and its members while promoting professional excellence, innovative leadership and contribution to significant outcomes to Maryland’s healthcare and society.
Today, we come together during this Christmas Holiday Celebration.
It is a time of reflection of the many months that we could not gather because of the problems and uncertainties that this pandemic brought us. Now, we come to celebrate hope and joy of the birth of Jesus, Our Lord!
This is the time that we give thanks to God, to our family, and to all those for whom we care and our community.
As we begin our journey again, in the promising times armed now with the protection of vaccines and treatment for COVID, we come to realize that there is no place that we would rather be than home with our families, at the bedside with our patients, and willing to reach out to our community through PNA Maryland.
So then, this day is very special and more fitting, but to honor our past through our past presidents who laid the foundation for PNAMC and its values; to recognize our present team and the loyalty group for the continued delivery of our mission and vision on the welfare of our nurses through our many wellness and educational experiences. Today as well, we are all here to inspire our future: our nursing students and our young nurses who are ready to take on the many challenges that the coming years hold.
Congratulations to all and thank you for your continued gifts of your treasured time and talent!
As our Mother Teresa of Calcutta emphasized, you will be happy and you will never be wrong if what counts is how much love you put into your doing and giving. Indeed, we as nurses are gifted!
Thank you & Merry Christmas to all!
